摘要

For me the title Minds, Machines, and Evolution was irresistible. This combination of topics surrounds some of the most fascinating and illusive of questions. What is consciousness? What is intelligence? How do these phenomena arise in the evolution of biological systems? What do we need to know in order to build, grow, or understand such systems?I found the book engaging and provocative. To try to satisfy readers with either a casual or intense interest in these topics, I decided to provide both a short review and a long review.
