Region matching and depth finding for 3D objects in stereo aerial photographs

摘要

A new region matching method based on the relaxation technique for stereo aerial photographs is presented. The method consists of three steps: the local matching according to the similarity of moments, the global matching according to the angle consistency, and the refinement of matched pairs. After the region matching, the depth of objects can be found by stereomapping on the corresponding corners, which are intersections of adjusted straight edge segments. Several experimental results demonstrate that the approach is robust even in the presence of noise and occlusion.
