Kim et al. (Pattern Recognition21, 651–663, 1988) claimed that Ismail and Selim, Pattern Recognition19, 481 (1986) and Selim and Ismail IEEE Trans. Pattern Anal. Mach. Intell.PAMI-8, 284–288 (1986) contained errors. In this note we dismiss this claim.
