A new utility-user interface for a qualified energy consumption

摘要

The rational use of energy is an essential factor for a country highly dependent on imports from abroad, like Italy. In particular, demand side management (DSM) can improve the energy effectiveness on the demand side and therefore can assure a more efficient utilization of generation and transmission plants for the utility, bringing about a global energy saving. This paper, after a glimpse of the various technologies of DSM, describes a project for a new distribution automation system at Enel: an intelligent interface utility-user to optimize energy consumption.
