Tomographic mapping of the activity of the heart wall

The paper describes a rapid and computationally efficient algorithm for producing a three-dimensional map of the distribution of radioisotope within the living human heart, from three two-dimensional Anger camera images. Two alternative versions of the algorithm are explained and compared. Degradations arising from photon attenuation, scattering and Poisson noise are ameliorated.
