Image processing for boundary extraction of remotely sensed data

Image processing algorithms for analysing remotely sensed data are developed. The algorithms proposed in the paper provide means for autoregressive texture modelling and for boundary detection of uniform subimage areas. The boundary detection methods make use of a semicircular entropy operator and of the binary hypothesis testing of the Poisson counting process. The proposed algorithms are applied to the pattern analysis of the isothermal distribution in the oceanic environment.
