Synthesis of a road image as seen from a vehicle

A model of a road is proposed in this paper, for the purpose of analyzing the road images seen by an autonomous visual vehicle navigation system. This paper also describes an approach to synthesizing a road image as seen from the vehicle. Parameters for describing the road are defined in the model. Examples of this approach are shown to give quite natural results. This shows that it is sufficient to extract those parameters in order to obtain 3D information in road image analysis.
