Set-spectrum method in structure comparison and the concept of topological kinship

摘要

This article treats the design and investigation of expressions for structural properties of objects, mathematical concepts of similarity and dissimilarity which are approached separately, and their mutual influence and resultant estimations by suitable metrics (pseudometrics). Topologies are built on pseudometrics, and their relationship to structures is studied. The theory has been created for applications, and it is illustrated by biochemically important examples of labeled sequences.
