A new start system for solving deficient polynomial systems using continuation

摘要

We are interested in all finite solutions of polynomial systems. The start system normally used in the homotopy causes divergent continuation paths when applied to a deficient system. Our aim is to avoid this wasted computation by constructing a new start system. The start system presented in this paper respects the m-homogeneous structure of the system we want to solve.
