摘要

Dayawansa and Martin have shown in a previous paper that several classes of nonobservable linear systems can be continuously observed by nonlinear observers. In this paper we show that a modification of their polynomial output function may be used so as to be able to observe continuously certain linear systems. Then we show that the corresponding problem with discrete sampling of the output may be solved by solving for the zeros of a certain functions, F:Rn→Rn, constructed from the sampling data, by use of continuation methods.
