Orthogonality relations and generating functions for the generalized Bessel polynomials

In this paper, the author begins by presenting a systematic (historical) account of the orthogonality of the generalized Bessel polynomials that arise naturally in a number of seemingly diverse contexts. The related expansion problem and various recent results involving generating functions for these polynomials are discussed next. Some relevant generalizations of many of these generating functions are also considered.
