摘要
This paper presents a sensitivity study of an extended Kalman filter used to estimate the position and velocity of a space vehicle. The achieved estimation accuracy is evaluated using up to three space-based observers and up to four types of observations at each time step. Additional results are presented for variation in the initial position error of the space vehicle. Results show that a significant improvement in accuracy is achieved by the use of a second observer and three observation types at each time step. However, the addition of a third observer and fourth observation type provided only small improvements in the solution accuracy.
