摘要

The qualitative nature of the growth of perturbations associated with the linear stability of inviscid fluid flows has been studied in case of stability of both compressible and incompressible swirling flow in a cylindrical tube or annulus and parallel stratified flow with or without magnetic field. A new result of substantial mathematical usefulness is obtained. Thus the conditions under which the amplitude of perturbation u(r) is a decreasing function of the spatial coordinate r are established.
