The modified decomposition method and Padé approximants for solving the Thomas–Fermi equation

In this paper, we propose a new approach to develop a nonperturbative approximate solution for the Thomas–Fermi equation. This approach rests on the recently developed modification of the Adomian decomposition method. The initial slope of the Thomas–Fermi potential y′(0) is computed by converting the obtained series solution into several diagonal Padé approximants. The proposed scheme is presented in a general way so that it can be used in applied sciences.
