Simultaneous solution of polynomial equations

摘要

The paper presents a new application of computer algebra method, which is called Wu's algorithm, to solve systems of algebraic equations. We have given two examples. One of them is simultaneous solution of algebraic equation systems and the other one is treatment of steady states of chemical reaction system. The method is very useful to exploit the special structure of the equations derived from reaction systems, so even large systems can be handled.
