Analytic properties of noncentral distributions

摘要

A survey of analytic properties of the noncentral χ2n(λ), Fn1,n2(λ), and student’s tm(λ) distributions is given. Emphasis is put on unimodality problems and in particular the modes of these distributions are discussed regarding their dependence on the degrees of freedom n, n1, n2, m, and the noncentrality parameter λ.
