The impelling function method applied to global optimization

摘要

A new global optimization method, the impeller function method (IFM), is proposed in this paper. Both the theory and the algorithm are presented. This new approach is analogous to a classical achievement in the local optimization research: the penalty function method (PFM). Therefore, the significance of the IFM for global optimization is expected to be similar to that of the PFM for local optimization.
