Approximate calculation of eigenvalues with the method of weighted residuals–collocation method

In this study, the collocation method of the weight residual methods are investigated for the approximate computation of higher Sturm–Liouville eigenvalues, where trial solution is accepted as the Chebyshev series. The obtained approximate eigenvalues are compared with the previous computational results [ANZIAM J. 42 (2000) C96, Numer. Math. 47 (1985) 289, Numer. Math. 59 (1991) 243, Appl. Numer. Math. 23 (1997) 311, Computing 26 (1981) 123].
