A note on some iterative schemes for nonlinear equations

In Noor and Noor (2006) [M.A. Noor, K.I. Noor, Some iterative schemes for nonlinear equations, Appl. Math. Comput., 2006, doi:10.1016/j.amc.2006.05.084], a three-step iterative method with fourth-order for solving nonlinear equations has been proposed. In this paper, we show that the iterative method given by the authors has quadratic convergence, not the fourth-order one as claimed in their work.
