A second look at the interpolatory background of the Euler–Maclaurin quadrature formula

In this paper we complete the results of Schoenberg and Sharma on the interpolatory background of the Euler–Maclaurin quadrature formula by providing a direct proof from the properties of the B-spline of order 2m and of Bernoulli polynomials and numbers.
