Solution process for inventory models with crashable lead time

摘要

We studied inventory models with defective items, crashable lead time and distribution-free approach to provide a complete solution procedure. Our procedure will reveal that the numerical comparison of two upper bounds is unnecessary in Tung et al. (2010). Moreover, our analytical results could explain why the previous incomplete solution of Tung et al. (2010) is accidentally corrected. Our findings can be generalized to several related papers and help researchers to locate the optimal replenishment policy.
