Black box multigrid for systems

摘要

This paper extends to systems the black box multigrid method, in which one provides a (logically rectangular) matrix problem and in which the coarser problems necessary to achieve a multigrid solution are automatically derived. The extension is straightforward if the components of the vector solution of the system are defined at the same grid locations. Otherwise, as in the case of staggered grids, the situation is less satisfactory.
