A medication management system

摘要

This paper deals with a special case of drug delivery systems, namely, a project to improve the medication management system at the Veterans Administration Medical Center, Phoenix, Ariz. The system has been redesigned using tandem queueing methods, and a general formula for the waiting time is given having correlated or uncorrelated service in both stages when unlimited waiting space is available before the first stage.
