Group analysis of the one dimensional wave equation with delay

• The application of Taylor’s theorem is found to be effective in obtaining the determining equations for second order delay partial differential equations.
• The infinitesimal generator of the admitted Lie group for the wave equation with delay is found.
• The symmetry of the wave equation with delay admits a two-dimensional Lie group.
• We have obtained the complete set of invariant solutions of the wave equation with delay, led by it’s classification.
