• There are several important capabilities that a design method for networked control systems should encompass in order to be successfully applied in practical problems.
• Some of the main capabilities required for practical NCS design are: accurate modeling of networked communication; accounting for uncertainties in both plant model and communication subsystem; performance based design.
• Another useful feature of a design method is being based on computationally tractable design conditions such as conditions in the form of LMIs with reduced conservativeness.
• These features and capabilities are treated in a unified design framework in the present work.
