A novel hybrid scheme for fixed-time SOSM control of nonlinear uncertain systems subject to mismatched terms

Highlights:

• Firstly, we consider a new kind of SOSM systems in the presence of mismatched terms. The mismatched terms can be properly selected to reduce the input uncertainties.

• Secondly, different from these finite-time controllers, the design of a more difficult fixed-time SOSM controller whose settling time is free of the initial system values is considered in this paper.

• Finally, a novel hybrid scheme, that switches from a novel fixed-time attractive controller to a newly finite-time controller, is proposed. Lyapunov analysis shows that the system under the proposed controller is globally fixed-time stable.
