Black box multigrid for periodic and singular problems

In the black box multigrid method, one provides a (logically rectangular) matrix problem, and the coarser problems necessary to achieve a multigrid solution are automatically derived. Previously, however, the code implementing the method could not solve problems with periodic boundary conditions or singular problems, such as pure Neumenn problems. This paper discusses these two extensions for positive semidefinite problems.
