Calculating C-eigenpairs of piezoelectric-type tensors via a Z-eigenpair method

Highlights:

• The computation of C-eigenvalues and their corresponding C-eigenvectors of thirdorder piezoelectric-type tensors is considered.

• A new symmetric fourth-order tensor is constructed according to a given piezoelectric-type tensor.

• The relationships of the fourth-order tensor and third-order piezoelectric-type tensor are proved theoretically.

• By computing Z-eigenpairs of the fourth-order tensor, we can obtain our goal.

• Numerical examples show our method is feasible.
