• A new interval stability criterion for LISSs is proposed based on the relationship between eigenvalues and performance of LISSs, which is more accurate than the existing stability criteria in describing the performance of the system.
• A more accurate controller design method is given based on the interval stability, which can ensure the stability of the LISSs as well as accurately control the dynamic performance of the system. Furthermore, a new algorithm is designed in combination with the interval stabilization method to precisely control the target system’s convergence rate by adjusting the interval where the generalized eigenvalues are located.
• The H∞ control criterion constrained by convergence rate of LISSs is investigated, so that the target system has a certain disturbance immunity while still providing accurate control of the target system’s convergence rate.
