Error estimates for a Schwarz alternating procedure on L-shaped regions

We develop error estimates for the basic Schwarz alternating procedure. This gives us estimates on its speed of convergence. We also develop estimates for an asynchronous parallel version of this algorithm, which are the same as those for the basic procedure on the problems we consider.
