Collaborative Object Workspaces (COWS): exploring the integration of collaboration technology1

摘要

The integration of multiple computer-based tools and technologies presents new design and usage challenges. This paper reports on a project focusing on integrating well-known collaborative features into a single usable tool. The results of the project are a set of design and behavioral propositions suitable for future research. The project also introduces the use of a research methodology that integrates the process of prototyping with the process of building theory.
