Model management: An embedded languages approach

摘要

Model management is an important component of decision support. Executable modeling languages (EMLs) have been employed quite successfully in designing useful modeling systems. In this paper, we present a technique, called embedded languages, which is a generalization of the EML approach, we believe that this technique can prove extremely useful in implementing desirable features not usually found in existing systems. The approach is discussed with reference to such a system, TEFA, which has been developed, and is being improved, on the basis of this technique.
