摘要
The problem of making conclusions from representations of knowledge is presented and analyzed. In particular, conclusion making due to lack of information has been studied. The concepts of immediately available information, assumptionally inferable information and constructively inferable information are introduced and examplified. It follows that it is important to specify the assumptions that are made about a representation, in particular with respect to the conclusions that can be made from the representation. Concerning constructively inferable information it is shown that the lack of information can only be used to select which among a set of possible conclusions to make.
