New course in computerized information systems at UCL library school

In October 1988 the School of Library, Archive & Information Studies at University College London introduced a new MSc course. The course is aimed at practising librarians, archivists and information managers who wish to acquire new skills in Information Technology and Computing, and to apply these skills inside their own professions. This paper examines the background need for such a course, and then outlines the main features of the new MSc.
