Information and total relational gains

摘要

The aim of this paper is to show why it is necessary to reconsider the status of information within companies considered as organizations. From an ordinary, even economically negligible ‘resource’, it can become an almost inexhaustible source of enrichment in an economic context where the appeal to operatives and the enhancement of their creative value becomes a ‘founding category’ for the development of the organization. We begin by studying internal dysfunctions within the company. This stage enables us to show the necessity of going beyond the traditional indicators of achievement used in economic management (prices, costs). For long-term achievement is not only the result of the development of infrastructure, but also supposes an improvement in the general skills of worker-operatives. In fact, dysfunctions are frequently the result of information problems, and only appropriate professional training (ie more than purely technical preparation) can overcome these deficiencies and offer appropriate ‘remedies’. The aim of this professional training is to provide a better control of ‘information codes’, thanks to a new form of ‘sharing’ activities and responsibilities, based on the actualization of people's ‘total creative potential’, an aspect that has been neglected by Taylorian scientific and technical organization. In this way, an increase in the added value produced by the company will provide new gains to be shared by all. Basing our work on studies from various sources, we suggest that firms adopt a new form of ‘internal negotiated gain’, based on the actualization of new skills, generated by the ‘incomparable efficiency of contractual relations’ between firms, but which can also be applied within companies themselves.
