Perspectives of the database industry in Japan

Major events in the database service industry in Japan are introduced together with the current situation of the industry including domestic and foreign database service movements, availability of online databases, the distribution process of the industry, utilization and sales in the marketplace, problems of searchers, and the trends in information brokerage. Major problems and future prospects of the industry are also indicated.
