摘要

We consider low-Reynolds number flow past an ensemble of particles. The singularity method is applied to represent the flow field. The strength and positions of the poles of the fundamental solution are obtained by minimizing the L2-error in the boundary conditions. Numerical simulations are carried out for ensembles of spheres immersed in a uniform or shear flow to illustrate the applicability and accuracy of the method.
