An automatic procedure for the calculation of bifurcation points of integral equations

A nonlinear Fredholm integral equation, depending on two real parameters, is given. We present a new direct method to find simple bifurcation points and isola of this equation. The method involves the solution of a large system of nonlinear integral equations. A multigrid technique is used to solve those functional equations. Afterwards an extrapolation scheme can be used to improve the accuracy of the results.
