Inequalities for Bessel functions

We derive some inequalities for the cylinder function Cν(x, α) defined by Cv(x,α)=Jv(x)cos α-Yv(x)sin α, 0⩽α<π where Jν(x) and Yν(x) denote the Bessel functions of the first and second kind, respectively. Our chief tools are three recurrence relations for Cν(x, α) and an integral formula for Jν(x).
