Phase-lag computations are considered for a family of two-step methods for solving second order periodic initial value problems of the form y″ = f(t, y), y(t0) = y0, y′(t0) = z0. The analysis is carried out with respect to the familiar model equation y″ = − λ2y, where λ is real.
