Elimination techniques and interpolation

摘要

A general recurrence interpolation formula due to Gasca and López-Carmona (J. Approx. Th. 34 (1982)) is studied by means of elimination techniques in linear systems. The repeated application of this formula is investigated in order to show its equivalence with extrapolation methods.
