A finite element method for equations of one-dimensional nonlinear thermoelasticity

摘要

This paper presents a new coupled scheme for the equations of one-dimensional nonlinear thermoelasticity by using the finite element method in the space variable and the difference method in the time variable. The existence and the uniqueness of the approximate solutions are proved, and the bounds of the error are analyzed.
