Boundary value problems for systems of second-order differential equations: approximations, convergence and upper error bounds

In this paper two-point boundary value problems for systems of second-order differential equations with constant coefficients are studied in terms of the solution of an algebraic matrix equation related to the problem. The interplay between the differential and the algebraic problems is used to obtain approximate solutions and upper error bounds of the boundary value problem in terms of approximate solutions and upper error bounds of the algebraic matrix equation.
