Son, you’re smoking on Facebook! College students’ disclosures on social networking sites as indicators of real-life risk behaviors

Highlights：

• This study aims at predicting real life health behavior, based on Facebook content.

• We found that one’s smoking and sport behavior can be predicted reliably.

• The cues for illicit drug use (although present) are too weak.

• Intake of (un)healthy food in real life was not correlated to Facebook content.

• For all life style categories, we discuss Facebook codings for future research.
