Computer education in the swedish school: Evaluation of a national program

Between 1988 and 1991 a large national campaign on computeraided instruction (CAI) and learning (CAL) has been carried out in Sweden. In some 160 local school projects CAI and CAL arrangements have dealt with “everything,” from rather simple practice in mathematics or foreign languages through system dynamics and expert systems in biology and chemistry and the use of authentic demographic information from data bases in civics.
