摘要

Microcomputers have been used for assessment, diagnosis, and self-help activities within the counseling environment. Counselor training is one area in which computers have seen very little use. A counselor training class was used to explore the potential of computers as training adjuncts. Students (N = 20) were randomly assigned to participate in counseling simulations via computer during either the first (n = 10) or second (n = 10) halves of the course. Analysis of covariance results demonstrated the effectiveness of the computer-enhanced training. Limitations and directions for future research are discussed.
