Low complexity intra prediction mode decision for 3D-HEVC depth coding

• A new heuristic method to search for optimal wedgelet pattern for depth modeling mode (DMM1).

• A new early termination (ET) approach based on the smoothness of the processed block.

• Based on directional edge, a fast-angular mode decision algorithm is proposed.
