摘要

This paper describes the implementation of a case-based reasoning (CBR) system to support heating ventilation and air conditioning systems (HVAC) sales staff operating in remote locations. The system operates on the world wide web and uses the new standard of XML as a communications protocol between client and server side Java applets. The paper also describes the motivation for the system, its implementation, trial and roll-out detailing the benefits it has provided to the company.
