Evaluating the effectiveness of expert system for performing agricultural extension services in India

摘要

This research study was carried out to assess the effect of using expert system on the performance and decision making skill of the extension personnel. The study concludes that there was an enhancement in decision making skill and performance of the extension personnel after using the expert system on maize. It is feasible to use an expert system as a decision support tool for transfer of agricultural technologies to the farming community.
