Informatics for the Law: LEXIS—A legal expert system on Italian family law

摘要

This paper describes the LEXIS project, a research endeavor in building a legal expert system on Italian family law. An expert system shell, Xi Plus, was used to help construct this expert system. This paper will describe some of the development steps of this project and also cite some research issues in building legal expert systems.
